Non-els
Corrected & Improved Version:
Now that you know how to add your vehicle to your server and make it FiveM-ready, I’ll show you how to make sure a non-ELS vehicle works. I’ll be using an example from my own products, since this is more of a “fun fact” or “tips and tricks” guide, rather than a full tutorial on how to make a vehicle non-ELS (as that process takes quite a bit of time).
What even is Non-ELS?
If you’re more than just a casual FiveM player, you’ve probably heard of “ELS” and “Non-ELS.” Let’s go over the difference between the two and how to work with Non-ELS vehicles only.
What is the Difference Between ELS and Non-ELS?
On the surface, they may seem the same, but they’re actually very different — and they can’t be used at the same time.
ELS vehicles use extras for their lightbars/lights. These extras can be turned on or off — think of it like a picture of a light that switches between on and off states to create the illusion of flashing lights. That’s basically how ELS works.
Non-ELS vehicles, on the other hand, use actual siren models such as "siren_1", "siren_2", "siren_3", and "siren_4".
These sirens are real light models that blink according to the configurations in your carcols.meta and carvariations.meta files.
I don’t want to make it too complicated, but the main difference between the two is how their lights are controlled and how they flash.
